Agent Paprika

an old anecdote

anecdote #247 - 11/23/2004
i think that advertising things using nostalgia should be disallowed, or at least restricted. to take the good feelings people have about their past and strap a product to it is indecent in my mind. it's not like the world is such a wonderful place today, that people generally feel like the future is something to look forward. i think, that if someone is going to use my fond attachement to the past to sway me to purchase something, they should have to pay royalties on my nostalgia. give me a kick back for associating actual emotions and experiences with snack foods and air fresheners.
